The Met’s own English-language family adaptation of Mozart’s beloved Magic Flute has become a new holiday tradition in the City. A brilliant cast of singers, including Erin Morley, Kathrine Lewek & Ben Bliss, will ensure this to be a highlight of the christmas holidays.
What is the Magic Flute about?
In this story we get to follow prince Tamino who has to undergo a series of tests, accompanied by his goofy siekick Papageno, in order to marry princess Pamina. Together with the high priest Sarastro they also have to battle Pamina's mother - the mysterious and evil Queen of the Night.
The opera is sung in English with Met Titles in English, German, and Spanish.
