What can I expect?

Whenever a monument or site awakens your curiosity you can simply jump off to explore further. Otherwise you can stay on the bus to carry on learning about the city. This is the essence of Big Bus Tours Vienna.
The Hop-on and Hop-off bus is all about flexibility: You can hop on at any stop you want, and hop off whenever you feel like it.
All Big Bus Tours Vienna tickets include two different routes. The Red Route covers Vienna's most famous landmarks, such as the opera house, the Hofburg, different museums, the Votive church and much more. The Blue route is designed to include some of Vienna's architectural highlights, such as the Schönbrunn Palace, Arsenal and more.

How does it work?
Shortly after completing your booking online your e-tickets will be sent by e-mail. Simply print a copy and bring it to the first bus you wish to board.
Where does the tour begin?
You decide where to start your tour. Just hop on the first Big Bus and start exploring Vienna.
How long is my ticket valid?
Your tickets are valid for 1, 2 or 3 consecutive days, depending on the tickets you choose.
How long does the tour last?
The red route lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The blue route lasts 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The green route lasts 1 hour.
How often do the buses run?
The red and blue routes leave every 15-20 minutes. The last buses leave at 6:00 P.M.
The green route leaves once every hour, however, the last bus leaves at 3:00 P.M.
Important information
Due to issues with traffic, public holidays, cruise ship arrivals, weather or any unforeseen circumstances, there can be sudden changes to the routes or the schedule. Vienna is a busy city and heavy trafficor road closures - may cause delays, reduced frequency and changes to the route.

Departure times
City route/red route: First bus at 09.30 am, last bus at 5.00pm. Departs every 20-30 minutes.
Palace route/blue route: First bus 09.45am, last bus at 5.15pm. Departs very 30-40 minutes.
What’s included?
You can choose between three different ticket options:
The Classic Ticket is a 1-day ticket, that allows you to use the red and the blue routes.
The Premium Ticket is a 2-day ticket, that includes the red and blue routes, and also the green route (also called Hundertwasser tour) aswell as a guided walking tour.
We also sell the Deluxe Ticket that lasts for 3 days. This ticket includes the red, blue and green routes, the guided walking tours and a guided tram night tour.
